The Crianlarich Bypass is a 1.3km single two-lane carriageway road to the west of the village, which allows users of the A82 to avoid low bridges.
The new bypass provides for through-traffic to avoid a holdup where the A82 and A85 trunk roads meet and enables road users to avoid the low bridges in Crianlarich. The project aims to reduce congestion on trunk roads (particularly during the busy tourist season) and enhance transport connections across Scotland.
Members of the ITPEnergised team have been involved in developing and monitoring the environmental and landscape aspects of the bypass works.
Members of the ITPEnergised team assisted Sweco (formerly Grontmij) in preparing tender documentation for the construction contractor procurement, and supported the tender checking and award process.
Following appointment of the contractor, our landscape team provided onsite support to the client, undertaking regular landscape and environmental inspections during construction to ensure committed mitigation was delivered and work was carried out in compliance with the contract. Ongoing advice and feedback was provided to both the contractor and design engineers to facilitate the successful implementation of the landscape designs for the scheme.
Support is ongoing throughout the maintenance period of the contract.
